The story behind the image
We were on our way back from The Heads in Knysna, South Africa – the place where the large Knysna Lagoon connects with the Indian Ocean. To be more precise, we had been to the East Head and enjoyed the fabulous views along the rough sea and rugged shoreline as well as the view across Knysna and its lagoon.
The way back into town lead along the George Rex Drive which again provides beautiful views. We stopped the car to enjoy the setting sun that peeked over the hills in the west near Brenton. It illuminated Leisure Island, which is really a town quarter of Knysna, and the lagoon water meandering through the sand and grass.
Unmissable.
(Not a big fan of the lens flare in the lower right corner, though.)
