The story behind the image
As you may have discovered already, I’m a big fan of sunsets and the blue hour – and, let’s be honest here, who isn’t?
When we were in Palm Springs in California in 2003, we explored the city after dinner. The sun had set a while ago, and now the Blue Hour – the period after sunset until complete darkness – was in full swing. I realized the beauty of these palm trees that were reduced to just silhouettes as they stood aganst the deep blue and purple sky of a flawless evening.
Seeing that image always brightens me up. Lovely.
