The story behind the image

When we visited Pier 39 in San Francisco I spotted these two flags that had been pulled up, announcing the 25th anniversary of this very popular tourist attraction.

You know, sometimes I capture such shots to remember where we have been. In this case, it was not necessary – if I don’t remember this stunning location, I’m in trouble anyway. 😉

I took the photo anyway because I just liked the bright colors back then. And still do.
