The story behind the image
We had just moved into our new home which had a field opposite the main entrance. Coming from an appartment in Munich’s city center, it was exciting to see how the nature around us developed. In that year, the field in front of our house was full of canola. Beautiful bright yellow canola. A sea of yellow, really.
I wanted to capture that beauty and used the widest angle of the lens (24 mm) and put a lot of the sky into the frame to highlight the bright blue sky which contrasted so well with the yellow plants. (Also, the copyspace is pretty versatile.)
Very nice.
P.S.: This image would be impossible today at this location. Since 2008, appartment buildings were erected which cover the space where the field used to be.
