The story behind the image
As part of a wedding photo assignment I shot this lovely image of heart-shaped balloons that rise into the clear blue sky over Munich. It was part of a game that asks the wedding guests to tie a postcard to the balloons with their personal wishes for the future. If the balloons go down, someone will hopefully find the card and put it into the postbox. The result is a nice surprise for the couple.
I really love the restriction to just three colors – red, white, and blue – and the chotic, yet beautiful arrangement of the balloons.
