The story behind the image
When traveling along the Scottish west coast between Dumfries and Ayr we strongly recommend taking a rest at the Ailsa Craig View parking area on the A77 just south of Girvan.
My photo shows the narrow, lovely beach that offered splendid views across the Firth of Clyde with its deep blue and clear water. This was even more highlighted by the fact that the sea was extremely calm on that day. The small island on the left is Aisla Craig, and in the back you can see the mountains of Arran.
