The story behind the image
The people of the United States celebrate Independence Day today. The 4th of July, 1776, marks the foundation of the nation, even if the constitution – the legally binding declaration – was signed in 1788.
And I admire the Americans – for being American. You’ve got the desire for individual freedom deeply embedded in your DNA. You believe in yourself and the liberty of the society. That’s awesome.
I’ll be celebrating with you today, even if I am not in the U.S. right now. But I think it’s only fair to publish this image today, on the 4th of July. I found it in San Francisco, California, by the way.
