The story behind the image
The Louvre Museum in Paris, France, is a feast for anyone interested in art and history. It is for sure overwhelming, and it is impossible to see and examine all works on a single day. But the presentation of the pieces is in many cases perfect.
Thousands of people come every single day, resulting in long queues at the entrance – even if you have reserved your ticket in advance. While we were waiting in the line, I shot this frontal view of the Denon Wing. I really like the symmetry, the four statues, and the reflection of the blue sky in the windows.
