The story behind the image
Two weeks ago I shared an image from a long walk we experienced in 2003 on a beautiful spring day. From Tutzing at the Starnberger See in Bavaria we walked up to the Ilkahöhe which provides stunning panoramic views across the lake – and if you are lucky – the Alps.
We were not lucky that day, as there was some haze over the Starnberger See and between our location and the mountains. Yet, I took a number of nice photos. This one shows two hikers as they walk along the alley leading up to the Ilkahöhe restaurant and beergarden.
In this image I like the clear horizontal lines that separate the fields from the trees and the lake.
