The story behind the image
Swellendam in South Africa is definitely worth a visit. It is the third-oldest town of the country, situated about halfway between Cape Town and George. You will notice the historical buildings, like the church or the Sugar & Spice Cafe.
My image shows The Drostdy of Swellendam. It was built in 1747 as a home for the governor – the Landdrost – who was living here until 1846. The building was sold then, and since 1939 it is used as a museum covering the diverse South African heritage.
