The story behind the image
When you visit Switzerland you won’t get away without noticing – and probably visiting – the huge mountains in the Swiss Alps. Close to Bern in the Berner Oberland there are countless opportunities for beautiful summer hikes and trails.
In 2004 we spent a full day for a trip from Bern to the village of Mürren and to the Schilthorn Mountain where the James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service had been filmed in 1968 and 1969.
We started our trip down in the valley, in Lauterbrunnen, where we experienced the beautiful Staubbachfall where the water falls vertically for almost 300 meters. I especially liked the Swiss flag which adds not only a regional reference but also a bright color spot.
Lovely.
