The story behind the photo
A holiday trip to the island of Kos, Greece, resulted in several beautiful shots of the Kos town center and the island, including this shot right after sunset at Marmari Beach. I used a long exposure time to capture the stunning mood of the Blue Hour. Some tourists were enjoying a (slow) walk at the beach, and their motions – as well as the gentle waves – have been blurred nicely.
Shot with a Canon AE-1 Program on negative film which got lost over the years. Fortunately I had this very good and undamaged print sitting in the archive.
