The story behind the image
In 2005 we spent close to a week in Rome and explored the city using a good mix of public transport and walking.
One morning we took the Metro A to the Flaminio station and walked from the Piazza del Populo along the Via Bocca di Leone with its countless small restaurants and shops. Of course, we turned left at the Via dei Condotti towards the Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti. With each step, the buzz was getting stronger. Tourists were flocking the space around the fountain and sat down on the stairs leading up to the Trinità dei Monti to take a rest and enjoy the scene.
We climbed all the way up to the Piazza, and I captured this stunning view that perfectly illustrates the buzz.
Nice.
