The story behind the image
At the coast of Québec in Canada we found Matane, a friendly town next to the Saint Lawrence River. The lighthouse is situated right next to the St. Lawrence River. It dates back to 1907. Today, the building is home to a museum telling the history of the lighthouse and its keepers, and the official tourist information. At the time of writing, the lighthouse tower could be visited.
I loved the bright white and red colors of the building the second I saw it. The sky was clear, and I looked for an angle that showed just the blue colors of the sea and sky, and the red and white colors of the building. The straight lines of the building and the horizon create an almost graphical impression.
Love it.
