The story behind the image

Here is another image from our 2004 sailing trip across the Baltic Sea. After a stopover in Damp we headed for Kappeln and Lindaunis. It had been a day with strong wind, and we were happy when we reached the Schlei and Maasholm where the wind was getting softer and less aggressive.

The yachts on my image were most likely heading for Maasholm or maybe a short leg on the Baltic Sea to Damp. I like the image because of the unspoilt nature it portrays. There are no wind power plants to be seen, no buildings, and no roads. There are just the corn fields, the trees at the horizon, and the reed at the shore. And the yachts.

A nice maritime image.
