The story behind the image
The maritime provinces at the Canadian east coast are probably among the most underrated regions of the country, at least for visitors from overseas. We were surprised to see many very different places and landscapes on our road trip from Halifax to Montreal.
In the morning, we had taken the ferry from Digby in Nova Scotia to Saint John in New Brunswick with the Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park as our final destination for that day. We took our time to explore the coast of the province. Along the way we also visited Cape Enrage with its active lighthouse located prominently on the edge of the cape.
For this shot I waited until the light in the building was illuminated again (in green).
Beautiful.
