The story behind the image

Vancouver in British Columbia would be my #1 city to live in. It has everything that I expect from a hometown:

  • Freedom (after all, it’s Canada!)
  • The sea (Pacific Ocean)
  • Close to spectacular nature (The Rocky Mountains, Vancouver Island)
  • English as main language
  • Relaxed people (yes, it’s Canada!)
  • Moderate climate (not too hot, not too cold)
  • A rich history and culture

And in Vancouver’s Stanley Park – a large park situated on an island next to the city center, with a fantastic view across the skyline – you can take a glimpse at its rich history. The city has erected a number of impressive Totem Poles from the First Nations to honor their culture.
