The story behind the image
Arezzo in Italy is a vibrant city situated about 70 kilometers south-east of Florence, and it is full of history, small streets, and parks.
The day was really hot, and we were visiting the city over noon when most of the shops were closed. It was unusually quiet on the streets, probably due to the heat. In the maze of small streets we found the Caffé dei Costanti on the Piazza San Francesco. It’s a typical Italian café with an outdoor area. A couple of guests were enjoying their lunch break, but even here it was far from busy.
In this image I can almost feel the tiring heat and the lack of buzz on the streets. It’s almost like just Costanti keeps the world running in Arezzo. At least a little bit.
