The story behind the image
This is the Cape St Blaize Lighthouse, seen from Bland Street at Mossel Bay where our B&B, the Point Village Guest House was located. Back then, I wrote:
This house is a perfect stopover at the Garden Route. Beautifully designed rooms with lots of maritime items (yet never even close to being “kitsch”) will make your stay very special. The restaurant and the small beach are just a few steps away. Also, you can take long walks along the southern shore from here. The staff will help you with any question you might have.

And I stick to my assessment. Reviewing their current pictures of the house and especially Room 6 (which we used in 2004), the design and quality seem to be still superb. I’d stay there again any time of the year.
