The story behind the image
When re-visiting Portugal’s Algarve region in 1995 I explored the region using slide film. On earlier trips I had used negative films. This slide shows the waves of the Atlantic Ocean as they gently roll onto the beach of Praia do Castelejo at the west coast of Algarve near Vila do Bispo, Sagres, and Cabo de São Vicente.
I like the single seagull that stands at the edge of the water where it it finally hits the beach. It’s not wild enough for the bird to be washed away but still wet enough to catch, maybe, some small fish.
