The story behind the image
Emerald Lake is one of the truly mesmerizing places in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Situated within the Yoho National Park in British Columbia, its main feature is its emerald green water (yes!) while surrounded by mountains.
This is a traditional postcard shot of the lake: colorful canoes wait for customers at a pier. I think it’s perfect in any way (okay, except for its size.) – it is colorful, but not too colorful. The sky is blue but has some nice clouds to it. Shadows from the nearby trees highlight the canoes.
Very, very nice. 🙂
