The story behind the image
Earlier that day we had arrived in Ucluelet on Vancouver Island, and we couldn’t wait to explore the area. It was just a short drive from the B&B to the Amphitrite Lighthouse. The sky was clear, it was warm and we were stunned by the fantastic views and the sunset.
We were just a few seconds too late for the party, though, as the sun had mostly set already. Plus, there was the rocky shoreline right in front of the setting sun. Oh, my.
I still like this shot, because of the rocky shoreline as it resembles a generally positive stock chart. There are some lows here and there, but mostly it’s all up, up, up. Don’t we just love this? The colors are great, too.
I think, the image works best if some of the dark area at the bottom is cropped off.
