The story behind the image
San Francisco in California is full of beautiful, almost magical, places. This photo, for example, shows Powell Street with one of the omnipresent cable cars.
I really like this shot. The tele lens shrinked the distances between the blocks and puts the focus on the cable car. The reflections of the sky on the tracks leading directly to it. The symmetry is very nice, too.
When researching this image, I realized that Powell Street in this area has changed a lot. Gone are many of the parking lots left and right, and the cable car tracks received an exclusive lane marked in bright red.
Awesome. I need to return to San Francisco sometime.
