The story behind the image
I can hear you say: “Clouds? Are you serious, man?” – To which I respond: “Absolutely.”
Of course, we all have seen beautiful clouds before. But these were rarely illuminated by the late afternoon sun like on that day. These clouds were of jaw-dropping beauty. They reminded me of old landscape paintings that exaggarated everything, including the clouds in the sky, to show the super-natural beauty of a place.
And now these clouds were right above our home. In reality. I knew I had just a short moment, and the beauty would be gone. But I had my smartphone ready.
I like the dramatic view, especially the almost violet cloud on the right. And the gradient in the blue sky that turns from dark blue at the top to light blue at the bottom. Awesome.
