The story behind the image
This is the Main Street of Tobermory in Scotland at its best – colourful houses gathered around a tiny harbour and illuminated by the late afternoon sunlight. A peaceful place, far away from the hectic of the big cities (even Glasgow is quite far away from here). In short, visiting Tobermory had been a “must see” and turned out to be a definite highlight of your trip to Scotland!
It had been raining earlier that day (and you can see some of the clouds still in the distance). Of course, we were excited to see the sun coming out as we approached Tobermory. So we explored the waterfront right away and could capture a number of nice photos. I especially like the bright colors and subtle shadows.
