The story behind the image
While we were in Sesriem, we visited also the Sesriem Canyon one morning before we drove into the National Park. While it is not anywhere as impressive as the Grand Canyon, it has its charms. Firstly, it’ is free to visit’s free. Secondly, it is really peaceful as most visitors pass this very small canyon. And thirdly, it still offers plenty of attractive photo opportunities.
I especially like the fact that brown, yellow and orange tones dominate the scene. So it was a nice surprise to find a large tree in the middle of the canyon next to some scrub. Just think of the heat and dryness of the area! Yet, this tree has found his home here.
Stunning.
