The story behind the image

In 2007 we were still living in the lovely quarter of Neuhausen in Munich, Germany.

One morning heavy snowfall had set in and I wanted to capture some winter scenes showing the effects of the snow. So I grabbed my gear and a tripod and walked to the northern exit of the tunnel at the Landshuter Allee, one of the ten busiest streets in Germany.

While the shot did not come out as extraordinary as I had expected, I still like it. It shows the heavy snow, the busy traffic and the pale morning light during winter. Plus some icicles at the street lanterns.

A rare sight in Munich.
