The story behind the image
We were on a sailing trip that brought us to Sønderborg, a vibrant town in Southern Denmark. We stayed for a night at the yacht harbour, the Sønderborg Lystbådehavn, which is just within walking distance to the historic town center.
Sønderburg had been a very pleasant stay for us. The weather had been calm and warm, and we were exploring the town with its rich history and small streets. There is even a castle that is still being used by the Danish royal family today. And if you want to take a bath, there is a small beach.
In my photo I captured the mood at the yacht harbour shortly before sunset. I really like the warm colors and reflections of the yachts on the calm surface of the water. Nice.
