The story behind the image
Need a bit of maritime spice in your life? Here we go: sturdy ropes, an orange buoy and a green fishnet, found at the harbor in Eckernförde, Germany.
Just five decades ago, the harbor of Eckernförde used to be a busy working harbor for a decent fleet of fish boats. Very few boats have remained that go out every night or early morning to pull in their catch (if any.) Upon returning to the harbor they sell off some fish directly from the boat, an intense experience for all senses. And they still use the harbor for putting the equipment that is currently unneeded or requires repair.
