The story behind the image
On a beautiful day in February, we took a long walk from Tutzing at the Starnberger See in Bavaria to the Ilkahöhe which provides stunning panoramic views across the Alps. On our hike back to Tutzing we decided for a short detour to the Deixlfurter Weiher, the smaller twin to the Deixlfurter See which offers a small beach bath in the summer.
But when we came to the Weiher, it was completely frozen with old branches on the surface. I really like the untouched and natural appearance of the scenery, and the mix of cold and warm colors.
