The story behind the image
In 2005 we did an exciting drive along the Scottish west coast. We stayed in Plockton which is situated at Loch Carron. I shot this maritime image from the promenade in the town.
Thanks to the late sunset times (about 10 pm this time of the year) the light was incredibly beautiful, and – looking at the dark clouds in the distance that might prevent decent images on the next day – I captured the scene only with my little Sony P&S camera. Admittedly, the image size is small by any means, but the image is nice.
I am convinced that I’ll return to Scotland one day. Hopefully rather sooner than later.
