The story behind the image
Franschhoek in South Africa is best known for its large vineyards that produce tasty wines enjoyed all over the world. But in the surroundings you’ll find good spots for hiking and climbing, too.
We stayed for a night at the fabulous La Provence Vineyard near Franschhoek. The next day we continued our drive towards east, heading for Robertson. For this, we had to use the R45 and drive all the way up to the Franschhoek Pass. It’s a beautiful drive with plenty of photo stops to capture the stunning views across the valley.
