The story behind the image
In December 2009 we spent a couple of days in Salzburg to experience the traditional Christmas Market. During our visit the area was struck by very cold temperatures that could go down to -20 °C at night. But these could not stop us from exploring the city and some of its iconic attractions.
One of these is certainly the Stiftskirche St. Peter. I was fortunate to have a super-wide angle lens (14 mm) and a full frame body. This enabled me to capture the interior almost completely, from the stunning paintings under the roof to the checkered marble floor.
Lovely.
