The story behind the image
By definition, cemeteries are places for peace and rest. One of the most important cemeteries in Munich, Germany, is the as it is the oldest surviving cemetery in the city center of the city, the Old South cemetery (Alter Südfriedhof). At its Northern section you will find the church St. Stephan, an early Baroque building, built in the 17th century and still active today. (The cemetery isn’t, though.) As always, Wikipedia knows more.
The church has a beautiful interior and presents a larger-than-life statue of the holy Joseph as he carries his son Jesus. The sunlight was streaming in from behind and illuminated the statue perfectly, matching the innocent joy of the baby.
Lovely.
