The story behind the image
During our 2004 trip to South Africa we had not pre-booked any accommodation (except for the first few nights in Cape Town.) When we approached Robertson, we inquired with the Nuy Valley Guest House, a family owned wine farm with a boutique wine cellar, situated in one of the beautiful valleys of the Cape Winelands between Worcester and Robertson. A beautiful and peaceful place.
Apparently the guest house is very popular for wedding ceremonies and parties, and the receptionist told us that they had rooms available for the night. But she pointed out that a wedding party would be going on that night. We appreciated her openness – and decided to drive a bit further to Robertson.
