The story behind the image
Winter time is skiing time in Bavaria. Well, that is, for many people – not me! Nonetheless we drove on a clear winter morning all the way out to the Draxlhang near Lenggries for a couple of hours skiing lessons for Clara.
When we arrived at the parking lot, we were greeted by this beautiful view. Admittedly, the field next to the Draxlhang was not fully covered with snow, but further up the mountain they had used the snow cannons, and the ski slope was perfectly prepared for the masses that usually stream in from Munich.
The gentle morning sun still cast long shadows and dipped the cold area into warm sunlight. I like the fact that this image is almost straight from the original file.
Nice.
