The story behind the image
Last week I traveled to Saarbrücken in Germany to participate in the annual company Christmas party. On the evening before the actual party I visited the beautiful Christmas market in the city center, all along the Bahnhofstraße to the St. Johanner Markt.
And then the miracle happened: Santa Clause flew by. He slowed down his modern slay pulled by several rendeers, directly over the St. Johanner Markt. A Christmas Angel was waving to the surprised crowd from beneath the slay. And then he disappered into the night again.
I realized that this is a once-in-a-lifetime photo and pulled out my phone to take some (grainy) photos. Of course, I would have loved to have a decent camera with me, but the best photo is the one you can take, so this is better than having no photo at all.
