The story behind the image
Here’s a beautiful shot of my hometown Kiel, Germany. It shows the view from Hegewischstraße into Schloßgarten on a particulary beautiful day in December.
Over the past two decades, the location has remained almost unchanged. The small house in the center has been replaced by a larger, modern building, and the poster pole is gone now, but that’s about it.
I really like the illumination of the buildings, and the reflections of the glass front of the office building on the right. This image is almost straight from the camera, by the way – I just increased the sharpeness a bit. If only it would be larger! 😉
