The story behind the image
We re-visited Dublin in August 2003 as part of a long weekend trip. We realized that Dublin had changed a lot between 1999 (our first visit) and 2003. One example is the George’s Quay Building overlooking the River Liffey which had been completed in 2002.
Our hotel was a bit further down the road on the opposite side of the Liffey. When we walked towards the city center I realized the harsh contrast between the cold steel building that resembles a pyramid, and the historical buildings directly at the river.
I opted for a camera position that would create a strictly geometric look, and it looks really nice.
Dublin? I need to return sometime!
