The story behind the image
We walked from downtown Vancouver to Stanely Park to explore this little peninsula. We passed the high rise buildings which were still under construction in 2002. And took a look over Coal Harbour. Then the historic building of The Vancouver Rowing Club came up. It is the city’s oldest amateur athletic club and offers, of course, rowing but also rugby, field hockey and yachting. The heritage clubhouse is conveniently located close to the park and the yacht harbour and offers spectacular views of the city skyline.
