MARCH 2006 – After a night of heavy snowfall in Munich, Germany, cars parked inthe Frundsbergstraße in Munich are completely covered by snow, a rare sight for early March. Photo © by Mark Zanzig/zanzig.com
The story behind the image
Yesterday I shared an image of the recent heavy snow in Unterhaching, Germany, which is close to Munich. While this is unusual it has happened before. For example, 17 years ago, in 2006, a night of snowfall hit the city in March, covering everything with a thick white mass of snow.
My image shows the sight in the Frundsbergstraße on the next morning. If you compare it to the image I posted yesterday, it looks pretty similar. Unusual, but not a novelty.
