The story behind the image
Today, my father would have celebrated his 85th birthday.
So I selected an image from the family archive.
I take this opportunity to present this image I shot of him while we were in Paris, France, in 1979. It’s been my first genuine holiday trip to a foreign country. My mother was a big fan of all things French, and she could convince my father to do the to Paris.
So we took the night train from Kiel, Germany, to Paris and arrived (a bit tired) in the morning in Paris.
I like this image a lot. At the age of 40, he looks happy, relaxed, and confident.
Thinking of you, Dad. I will always love you.
