The story behind the image
When we were visiting Bellaria Igea Marina this spring, we had just arrived and went to the beach to enjoy the blue sky and warm Mediaterranean Sea. Suddenly, we heard a loud roar in the distance. It was getting louder, so the source of that noise would be coming closer. And indeed, the first few cars of the 14th annual gathering of the Italian Ferrari owners club Red Passion were arriving!
They apparently had booked their rooms at the Hotel Milano Resort in Bellaria and they parked their cars at the beach promenade, right in front of the hotel. While this is typically a no-no these days, it was an event offically supported by the community and they had a permit for the time of their gathering.
All afternoon, expensive cars would be cruising along the Lungomare, and the number of cars was increasing. In a way, it is quite strange to see so many cars in the same place that are usually perceived as ‘exclusive’. Suddenly you realize that these are far from unique. They are just cars, and their owners are pretty normal. 😉
Whatever, of course I could not resist to take a number of photos. I especially like this one as it focuses on the Ferrari logo that decorated the back of a F360 Modena Spider. The minimalistic image draws maximum attention to the bright silver logo in a sea of black plastic.
Nice.
