The story behind the image
Here’s a nice panorama photo showing the skyline of Grömitz in Germany. One of the key attractions of the village is the sea pier which is 400+ meters long. During high season there will be frequently events on the pier, ranging from excursions to the Baltic Sea, visiting a rescue ship, to nightly clubbing. There’s a childrens playground as well.
Shortly before sunset we walked to the childrens playground which is slightly higher above the sea than the pier and thus provides an even better view along the northern section of the long beach. In fact, the beach is so long that I used the panorama function this time. The dramatic sky and the warm sunlight contribute to the unique look of the photo.
