The story behind the image
Why, oh why, didn’t I take the EOS M6 with me on that beautiful evening? The answer is simple: When we began our excursion through Hamburg that morning, the sky was grey and dull. Heck, there was even a bit of rain. Then, over dinner, the sky cleared up, and it became one of the most beautiful evenings you could imagine.
I shot this image from the pedestrian bridge crossing the street Bei den St. Pauli Landungsbrücken. The Hotel Hafen Hamburg overtowers the location with its stunning combination of classic and modern architecture.
I stabilized the phone on the rail of the bridge to enable a long exposure time of 1/8. The cars that approached the traffic light had to brake, and the traces of their lights are just perfect. The evening sky is super nice, too.
I need to return with a decent camera. 🙂
