The story behind the image
On our trip to the German Baltic Sea we stopped for three nights in Hamburg. That meant three days full of exciting views.
One morning we set out to explore the city center, starting with the Binnenalster, the smaller part of a huge lake that is fed by the Elbe River and smaller rivers in the surroundings. It was already quite warm, but the sun was still hiding behind clouds. The mood at the lake was wonderful as it was not too busy, and the shops and restaurants were just preparing for the day ahead. Also, there were virtually no cars, thanks to a zone of heavily restricted traffic in the core of the city center.
I used once more the panorama function of my phone to capture this awesome view. Sure, it would have been even better if the sky would’ve been clear and blue, but heck, I like the photo anyway.
