The story behind the image
The other day I had a business trip to Saarbrücken in Germany, a city I had never visited before. So I took some time before the meeting marathon and explored the city center, at least a little bit. My first impression is that Saarbrücken is young, vibrant, and has a rich history. Its proximity to France can be sensed almost everywhere.
When I entered the Kronenstraße from the Faßstraße, I was greeted by walls full of graffitis. There was a cigarette vending machine mounted to one of these walls, and it had been tagged all over, so much indeed that one could hardly make out the machine and its knobs.
Whatever, I could not resist to take a shot of this wall and machine which – when combined – is a piece of art in itself. Admittedly, it’s a fun shot with little meaning, but I really like the composition and bright colors. 🙂
