The story behind the image
As you may have discovered already, I’m a big fan of sunsets and the Blue Hour, that’s the time right after sunset and before darkness. If you are lucky, you will be able to experience all kinds of awesome shades in the sky, ranging from yellow/orange tones to dark blue/purple ones. The scenery can change completely within minutes before the night finally sets in.
When we were in Palm Springs in 2003, we were extremely happy to experience a purple sky when we left our motel for dinner. A blue and purple sky and palms in Palm Springs, and (almost) full moon! Seriously, how much better can it get?
Love that shot.
