The story behind the image
A red rose? Really?
Three reasons:
- Today is Petra’s and my wedding anniversary. We got married twenty years ago – that’s a whopping 7,305 days (if Excel does not lie) and a pretty long time with many highs and some lows. Consider this my (virtual) flower for Petra.
- Despite its simplicity, it is a beautiful image that can be used in countless ways: Greeting cards, invitations, posters, desktop wallpapers.
- It’s a pretty difficult image on slide film to be scanned correctly. That’s because there are so many shades of red in the flower. Many scanners have problems scanning such a complex set of shades. Here, the 48 bits per pixel help tremendously as these enable you to use the full color range during editing.
Whatever, I like it and hope you do, too. 🙂
