The story behind the image
I guess you know by now that I’m a huge fan of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. They are truly awesome. Nature photographers will find that the National Parks are full of visual miracles.
However, when we approached Lake Louise, we had the stunning lake in mind, and the majestic Mount Victoria. Imagine our shock when we actually got to the lake and saw the huge Fairmont Château Lake Louise, a premium hotel directly at the shores of the lake. My photo shows the view from their boathouse, and you can see that the architects tried to embed the hotel into the surroundings.
I really like how passionately the canoeists work, which perfectly illustrates the activities you can explore here. Also, their placement in the image is pretty cool as they guide the viewer towards the hotel. There’s a bit of copyspace as well.
Very nice.
